From the press
Marginfold Press publishes books with a purpose. Few in number. Long in life.
Marginfold Press publishes work rooted in ordinary life: overlooked stories, recognisable people, and observations with practical or cultural weight.
We are not interested in volume. We are interested in whether a book still matters after the trend that produced it has passed.
Our catalogue will grow slowly. Each title is chosen on its own terms, not to fill a schedule.
What we publish
Work that notices what others pass over.
Not every subject belongs here. Only work close enough to be true, and useful enough to last.
Our focus includes
- Personal development
- Psychology
- Relationships
- Human behaviour
- Society
- Culture
- Work
- Leadership
- Practical philosophy
- Real experience

Editorial
We publish books built from real observation, not general opinion. Work that could only have come from someone close enough to the subject to see it accurately.
A book earns its place here if it helps a reader think more clearly, live more deliberately, or recognise something true about their own life that they hadn’t put into words.
We ask the same questions of every submission we accept
- Does it notice a life usually flattened into a stereotype or a statistic?
- Is the writer close enough to handle the subject with accuracy and dignity?
- Could this only have been observed, not generated from general opinion?
- Will it still matter once the trend that produced it has moved on?
