What we collect

• Correspondence details you provide voluntarily — name, email address, and the content of your message — when you write to any of our published addresses or submit an enquiry, review request, rights request, or manuscript proposal.
• Mailing list details, where you have expressly subscribed: email address and the date of consent.
• Limited technical and analytics data, such as pages requested, referring page, approximate region, browser and device type. This is aggregated and is not used to identify individuals.

How we use it

We use correspondence data solely to respond to and administer your enquiry or submission. Mailing list data is used only to send publishing announcements you have consented to receive; you may withdraw consent at any time. Analytics data is used to understand how the site is used and to maintain its security and performance. Our lawful bases are legitimate interests (responding to correspondence, site security), consent (mailing list), and legal obligation (records we are required to keep).

Sharing

Retention

General enquiries and review requests are retained for up to 24 months. Submissions we decline are deleted within 12 months. Rights, permissions, and trade correspondence is retained for seven years where it relates to a contract or a financial record. Mailing list data is retained until you unsubscribe.
